Joe is an M.A. Composition and BMus (Hons) graduate from City University London and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, specialising in jazz, blues and rock guitar. Joe performs professionally in many styles, ensembles, solo performances and pit bands for musical theatre; most notably, Ronnie Scott’s (residency), The Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall (jazzlines), Wembley Stadium, Milton Court (Barbican), The Royal Academy of Art, Torino Jazz Club, The Crazy Coqs, Le Quecumbar (house band) and BBC Radio. He is currently performing with ‘The Jorge Bravo Trio’ and ‘Benoit Viellefon & his Orchestra’ amongst many other London based jazz ensembles. He has previously worked with ‘Amy Hollinrake’, ‘Coco ‘n’ the Fellas’, ‘Swing’it’, ‘Brains & Hunch – Music For Moving Image’, ‘Shunt Theatre’, The Royal Borough of Greenwich Music Hub and Barrow Hill Junior School. Joe is an established private music tutor, with over 100 students working in St. John’s Wood, London – recommended by Lucky Fret Music Co., Guitar Guitar Camden and the London Guitar Academy. He is also a visiting accompanist at the GSMD and Goldsmiths University of London. Joe has also achieved distinction in grade 8 electric bass guitar.


From beginner to advanced. I am able to teach performance up to up to degree level.
